Kniha Historie barevné fotografie a sbírka NTM vychází jako druhý svazek edice NTM Krása historické fotografie. Pojednává o nejdůležitějších objevech ve vývoji barevné fotografie až do doby před vznikem digitální fotografie. Začíná kolorováním černobílých fotografií, popisuje první pokusy o přímou barevnou fotografii, tříbarevnou fotografii, systémy pracující na principů barevných rastrů. Vysvětluje principy vícevrstvých barevných materiálů, které se používají ve fotografické praxi v dodnes. Vývoj barevné fotografie je bohatě dokládán ukázkami ze sbírky Národního technického muzea. Záměrem publikace je mimo jiné též zaplnit mezeru v nabídce české literatury, která popisuje ranou historii barevné fotografie. The History of Colour Photography and the NTM Collection deals with the most significant discoveries in colour photography development and goes back to before digital photography emerged. The book begins with colouring black and white photographs and describes the first attempts for direct colour photography, three-colour photography, and systems using the colour raster principles. It explains the principles of multi-layered colour materials that have been used in photography practice to this day. The development of colour photography is complemented with numerous examples from the collection of the National Technical Museum (NTM). The publication is believed to fill the gap in the Czech literature that describes an early history of colour photography.
